Green Lodging News provides the latest updates on environmental initiatives in the lodging industry as well as links to vendors and other resources.

Best Practices Survey developed by Ceres, a group of businesses (including Northeast Utilities, parent company of PSNH) dedicated to reducing their environmental impact and building consumer demand through their business needs.  This survey is used to identify convention sites and lodging facilities that are preferable based on their survey results. 

Habitat Suites Environmental Practices Handbook—A multitude of common sense examples for environmental initiatives.  This hotel in Texas was not built with the environment in mind, but has made every effort to become an environmental champion.

Energy Information

nhsaves, provides information on scheduling a free audit with your energy provider to review what programs and rebates are available to increase your energy efficiency.  (In addition to lighting upgrades, the core utilities also cover up to 50% of the installed cost of occupancy sensors, electric hot water measures, walk-in cooler controls, air conditioning, programmable thermostats and other custom projects.  NHSLP urges you to take advantage of these funds!)  The website also features valuable links to energy efficiency websites.
